Post-Election Healing: Standing in the Wake of the Lying Prophets

But any prophet who falsely claims to speak in my name or who speaks in the name of another god must die.’ “But you may wonder, ‘How will we know whether or not a prophecy is from the Lord ?’ If the prophet speaks in the Lord’s name but his prediction does not happen or come true, you will know that the Lord did not give that message. That prophet has spoken without my authority and need not be feared. -- Deuteronomy 18:20‭-‬22 NLT I'm not a political person, but I can't help but recognize what's happening in the United States as the Supreme Court has just rejected a massive case trying to turn over millions of votes in four states to try and win the 2020 Presidential Election. What happens is what happens, but what concerns me the most is what I spoke about in a previous blog post. Many, many "major" and "minor" prophets have declared that Donald Trump would be reelected. They have been on TV, YouTube, Facebook, Parler, and many other mediums calling mi

Truth or Trump?

You know, it has been a crazy year. 2020 will go down as one of those years in human history as being unforgettable. There has been loss, pain, suffering and so much more. Sadly, the year hailed as the year of "clear vision" has revealed that the Body of Christ is being illuminated like never before. Let me explain as we go to the Word of God... And the Lord said, ‘Who will persuade Ahab king of Israel to go up, that he may fall at Ramoth Gilead?’ So one spoke in this manner, and another spoke in that manner. Then a spirit came forward and stood before the Lord, and said, ‘I will persuade him.’ The Lord said to him, ‘In what way?’ So he said, ‘I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ And the Lord said, ‘You shall persuade him and also prevail; go out and do so.’ Therefore look! The Lord has put a lying spirit in the mouth of these prophets of yours, and the Lord has declared disaster against you. -- II Chronicles 18:19‭-‬22 NKJV For a while now I

Responding To Gays Being Pastors

In my meanderings online I saw a post that showed two women as a Pastor and "First Lady" which in years past would have caused me to be angry or appalled at the thought and I would begin to say things from the flesh about it. I still don't agree with homosexuals serving in positions of spiritual leadership and I never will accept it. However, when I saw this post at first I wanted to comment, but then I asked God for His revelation and His Words... This is what I shared: I have been quiet because I didn't want to speak without guidance from God so... Regardless of the sin, regardless of the condition anyone living in open rebellion to the Word of God cannot and must not serve in a pastoral capacity. I love everyone regardless of who and what they are as the Bible says that "Love covers a multitude of sins" but nowhere does love excuse or forgive sin. We have to be careful with that word judge. Judging is dangerous by mere human means and to these women in

Its okay to not be okay...

I just spoke with a lady who was so down on herself and her life's condition that it was heartbreaking. Everything was wrong and everything was broken and I looked at her and said "You're the only you you've got so love YOU!" to which she looked me in the eye and said "Thank you! I needed that!" That reminded me that we are all broken and we all need mending by the Father. Pains that are physical, emotional and spiritual are crippling and we all need a Savior who knew what it was like to be beaten down, kicked, whipped and spit on for nothing. Jesus came to heal the broken hearted as the scripture says in Isaiah 61:1. The secret is not to chase a pastor, a sermon or signs and wonders, but to chase after God first makes the healing come. Don't get me wrong, a God loving pastor with the heart of a true shepherd is awesome, but if they fall what would happen to the sheep if the rely on that pastor more than God? God forbid that they fall too... I imp

Soapbox

Haven't posted in here in a long while, but my mind has been turning lately about... Our churches... Sometimes I feel that many are nothing more than modern day Sanhedrin temples full of Pharisees who are only concerned about their building, their members and their reputation. These same churches have a hollow theology that focuses only on prosperity through giving versus restoration through loving. I see music ministries that have people living alternative lifestyles leading them leading "worship" that connects to a lyric and not God's Presence. I see preachers who just HAVE TO preach because they need enough CDs for the box set they wanna push at the church bookstore versus letting God take over and actually heal someone mind, body and spirit. Which also brings me to altar calls where there isn't prayer, healing or prophecy without a microphone being either yelled into by someone praying or in the face of a wounded vessel so that there business gets told to eve

Scaffolding

Scaffolding never stays on a completed structure. When a building is being built cranes, scaffolding, temporary elevators, service roads and temporary utilities are throughout the site, but as the building reaches each state of completeness these temporary things are removed and fall away. God has placed people in our lives to build us up for a season or to break us in order for us to be shaped i n the way that God has intended for us to be in. This is why when God completes a phase of our construction we shouldn't long for the things that brought us there. People, homes, relationships or jobs that shape us were meant for that season until that phase of us is completed. Everyone that is in our lives will not make it to when we are completed. Some people will hurt us and some will love us and build us up, but sometimes they must fall away too.   The jobs we lose, the homes we leave and the relationships that don't pan out were meant to transform us and not scar us. The trials w

We Are The Workers

How many times have we all driven by a Road Work Zone on the way to our destination and noticed the Department of Highways have closed down a lane or slowed traffic for work? I think that we all have and one particular thing that I see sometimes is when there are about ten or fifteen people standing around while one person is actually working. We normally would quip something like "There's our tax dollars at work!" or "We don't pay you to lean! Get to work!" and think nothing of it. Its funny that while everyone is being paid only a few are working towards to the goal which reminds me of the role that the Church has in the world as it relates to gathering the Harvest which are the lost and weary souls that need Jesus. This reminds me of a very powerful scripture in Matthew 9:35-38 (NLT) Jesus traveled through all the towns and villages of that area, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of d
