What Is Going On With Our Churches?

I can honestly say that I have been in church all of my life and I have seen many things and I have experienced many experiences good and bad. After being raised in a denominational church and now non-denominational has really given me a view of church that I wish to share with you all because I know that it's time for silly traditions and silly rhetoric to come to an end. Point blank many churches are watered down social clubs and are ineffective at fulfilling the Great Commission. Many churches today are sad collections of broken-down, sick, broke or spiritually blinded people. The true Gospel is shunned because it is "too harsh" or "to controversial" and is replaced by a watered-down theology that either tickles the ear with a never-ending laugh track or it focuses on the manipulation of people. Relationship vs. Religion

This is a major problem in Christendom. In my mind there are so many people confused about the differences between a relationship with Jesus Christ versus the tenets of Religion that it has caused many people to fall away from the faith or choose rather not to get into it. We as people need to understand that when we are saved we are not baptized into a system that was formulated by the postulates or rules of people as they interpreted the Word of God, but a one-to-one relationship with the God of the Universe that no one can have any say in but God Himself and you. Period. I know that this post is long, but it is necessary! What are We Seeking? Religion or Relationship? God does not want a people who simply adhere to a set of rules no matter how well intended. God said in the book of Hosea, “For I delight in loyalty rather than sacrifice, and in the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings” (Hosea 6:6).
